Immuno-Biological Laboratories Co
In April 2006, Innogenetics and Immuno-Biological Laboratories Co., Ltd. (“IBL”) entered into a non-exclusive regionally restricted license agreement by which IBL gained access to Takeda Pharmaceutical company, Ltd., patent rights for the development of tests for beta-amyloid protein used for research into Alzheimer’s disease. Under the terms of the agreement, Innogenetics will receive a license fee and royalties from IBL. Following this license, a distribution agreement was signed in December under which Innogenetics is authorized to act as a distributor for IBL’s beta-amyloid kits outside Japan.
