Takeda Chemical Industries
In June 2004, Innogenetics entered into a worldwide licensing agreement with Takeda Chemical Industries Ltd. (“Takeda”) by which Innogenetics gained access to Takeda’s patent rights for the diagnostic and research use of beta-amyloid antibodies in the field of Alzheimer’s disease. Innogenetics has the right to sublicense to strategic partners in the diagnostic area. The financial terms of this agreement were not disclosed. This license agreement strengthens and complements Innogenetics’ position in the field of neurodegenerative biomarkers, currently an embryonic market but with high growth potential.
